In Nomina Terra Calens is a passion project stem from Dr. Jones’s love for music as well as being an accomplished medieval cello player. Lucy and her cello quartet performed a piece at the National History Museum to bring forth awareness of global warming from 1880 to 2018. This visual piece was played in coincide the music performance to help the audience understand the elevation of heat to our planet over the past 130 years. All of the temperature data from each year were sourced from the NOAA. Our job was to create an visual experience that is informative, thought provoking and entertaining.
